white crosses dedicated to the men and women who served our country
we got to the bart station a little later than expected, but still ened up getting downtown by ten thirty
just a quick picture when we were waiting.
this reminded me of the gypsys in europe. benedicto gave him the change he had.
probably the first picture i took when we exited to powell station
headed over to huf but didnt really get anything. headed over to thsf and got a tee.
i think the whole purpose of this trip, at least for me, was to go to an art musuem. i wanted inspiration, and just wanted to see the work of some creative people.
right across the street was this beautiful fountain/garden me and rex took out some time to sit down and sketch a few buildings
the staircase that lead visitors to the five floors of gallery space. i was upset that the architecture gallery was being renovated.
the lobby was something to really appreciate. the cut cylinder really let in a lot of light, and shadows created by the structural members were interesting throughout the day
another shot of the entry lobby. so much contrast. it was great
the musuem curators were just staring at us when we posed in front of the artwork haha. i guess the artwork is suppose to be the subject, not us.
this seems more like how a photograph at a musuem should look like.
i still dont get minimalism. maybe there is nothing to get. i guess all is shown.
rex creating is own art. the four armed woman.
just thought these geometric shapes were cool, maybe because they were reflective, and the walls had cool patterns. check out basilios blog to see the awesome design.
this was an awesome sculptural piece. too bad i dont remeber the artist, name of the piece, or the intent.
ryan being a queer statue
the instillations in the media art galleries were awesome
rex messing around in the scuplture terrace
after sfmoma we went to the chrome store and i picked up a metropolis messenger bag in teal/pink.
this bike was sitting outside of some bikestore we hit up. it had the sugino 75 crankset i want. but i took a picture of is cus of all the postcards and stickers on it.
and finally a dope picture of my initials haha.
i didnt take much pictures later on during the day, due to the fact that i was carying the posters we bought at the sfmoma for the majority of the time. the night was fun.
this morning we had some dutch pancakes, then headed back to slo. about to shower and go watch the superbowl with the boys at the 360 house.
